Craig Moorhead's THE LAST DAYS OF FRUITBAG
(buy it)     (lyrics)

FRUITBAG is the departure point; it's the RUBBER SOUL or the WAITING FOR THE SUN of Craig's 4 Track Savant Rock. Taking the lessons learned from earlier works such as SUMMER IN WINSTON, FRUITBAG sounds like Craig sketching out new space and new ideas for what would come later, the utterly superlative 26% ROCK AND ROLL SOLUTION.

While not as accessible (and thus, not embraced as eagerly) as SUMMER IN WINSTON or NIGHTTIME MAN, this one stands out as a glorious promise of things to come. It's the Craig CD all the intellectual hipsters site as their favorite, even though they're kinda lying. Still, it's good.

Includes the tracks You're A Picture and Titanic.

- Darin Caudle
